Who we are
About Red Pine Associates
A tribally owned enterprise of the Penobscot Nation, building businesses that create work and opportunity in Maine.
Owned by the Penobscot Nation
Red Pine Associates is wholly owned by Penobscot Indian Nation Enterprises (PINE), a Section 17 corporation chartered by the Penobscot Nation, a federally recognized tribe whose homeland centers on the Penobscot River in Maine. PINE exists to build revenue-producing assets, owned by the Nation, that create economic independence and put the Nation in control of its own utilities and services. Red Pine is its consulting, engineering, and federal contracting company. The returns we earn go back to the Nation and the services it provides to its citizens.
What we do
CONSULTING AND ENGINEERING
Management consulting, engineering support, estimating, and project management for public and private clients. We work as a direct contractor and as a teaming partner.
TELECOM AND FIBER INFRASTRUCTURE
Fiber build-outs, distributed antenna systems, and tower work, with an in-house crew planned for construction, electrical, and servicing.
FEDERAL CONTRACTING
As a tribally owned firm pursuing SBA 8(a) certification, we offer agencies and prime contractors a direct path to a tribal partner for federal work.

Our ventures
CLEAN ENERGY
We are pursuing ventures for managing PV (solar) development and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Maine and across the U.S.
SOLAR PROJECTS
We develop and invest in solar projects across Maine, each structured to deliver long-term returns to the Penobscot Nation while adding clean power to the state's grid.
BANDIT PROGRAM MANAGER
A project management platform for telecom construction that Red Pine Associates is building. It tracks jobs, people, and equipment from the office to the site. Bandit Program Manager is in development.

How we work
SAFETY FIRST
Every job starts with a safety plan. Our Safety and Compliance Officer reviews each site before work begins, and our crews follow OSHA and client standards on every tower, trench, and rooftop.
CONNECTED ACROSS MAINE
Based on Indian Island, we work from Aroostook County to the coast. We know the roads, the seasons, and the local permitting, and we bring Maine crews and Maine suppliers to every project.
BUILT FOR THE LONG TERM
Red Pine exists to build lasting income for the Penobscot Nation. That means we take on work we can stand behind for decades, and we hire and train Tribal members so the skills stay in the community.
